About The Rusty Boathouse
The Rusty Boathouse occupies a position unlike any other glamping stay in West Wales — a sleek dark-clad contemporary cabin set right at the water's edge of its own private lake, with a rope-rail jetty extending over the water and a small green rowing boat moored below.
At night, the cabin's warm interior light reflects perfectly in the still lake surface — an image that stops people in their tracks. It is genuinely, quietly breathtaking.
Inside: a king-size bed with a rust-toned velvet headboard and navy linen faces the full-height sliding glass wall. The bathroom — large-format bronze tiles, matt-black vessel sink on an industrial frame, rainfall shower, warm globe lights around a round mirror — sits just beyond a diagonal-boarded barn door.
Outside, the terrace is built for evenings. A corten steel fire bowl sits between wicker armchairs under fairy lights strung between trees. The private hot tub faces out across the lake. The rowing boat is moored at the jetty whenever you want it.

An Evening at The Boathouse
There's an hour at the Boathouse, just after the sun has gone, when the fairy lights catch in the water and the fire bowl throws orange against the reeds.
The hot tub is on. The rowing boat is at the jetty. The lake is perfectly calm. The only sounds are the fire, the water, and whatever you choose to put on inside.

Getting Here
The Rusty Boathouse sits on Pantcefn farm just outside Llanarth, reached easily from the A487 coastal road. Aberaeron's harbour is five minutes away, New Quay and its dolphin-watching trips ten.
Some of the finest beaches in West Wales — Llangrannog, Tresaith, Aberaeron — are all within 20 minutes, and the Wales Coast Path is close to the farm gate.
